Our historic 19th-century barn has been meticulously renovated and restored to its original glory… with a few added bells and whistles. We offer air-conditioning, heating, and a 4-foot disco ball, among other modern amenities. The property is a hidden gem set amidst 34 acres of breathtaking grounds with open meadows, forests, winding nature trails, and gardens, offering an idyllic backdrop for events of up to 200 guests. We specialize in creating unforgettable celebrations filled with heart. Work with our catering team or bring in your own-- we allow you to customize every detail of your day! Overnight accommodations for 8-10 are included in our premium long-weekend packages, along with a suite of amenities for a resort-style feel.

The barn offers an intimate environment, accommodating dinner seating for 80 (with multiple options on the grounds to place tents for larger group dinners), and standing room for up to 175 guests for dancing and cocktails. The mezzanine-level hayloft has been converted to a cozy lounge with a vintage cigar-bar vibe: leather club seating, Persian rugs, a gallery wall and photo booth make this hidden speakeasy-style nook a fun surprise for your event!

    The Black Walnut Farm team gave us such an incredible wedding weekend. My bride and I had the most magnificent day - it was everything I had ever dreamed of, and everything my fiance had never believed possible. It's been the utmost pleasure working with Sarah, Jim, Lish and the entire team, and getting to know them as human beings as well. Everyone at Black Walnut Farm was incredibly kind and professional, and we really saw all the ways they went above and beyond. Our guests could not have said kinder things about the whole property, and staying in the farmhouse brought nearly as much joy as being in the barn for our reception. We know this chapter of thier business is really just getting started to we truly wish them the best of luck and look forward to celebrating all the milestones in the years ahead.

    We cannot recommend Black Walnut Farm enough—it was the perfect place for the wedding of our dreams! From the breathtaking forest ceremony site that felt like stepping into a fairytale, to the warm and vibrant barn that created the ideal setting for our reception and dance party, to the sprawling wildflower gardens that surrounded our golden cocktail hour — every part of the venue is magical. The venue owners, Sarah and Jim, were incredible to work with—so flexible and supportive in helping us create a wedding that truly reflected us. They not only encouraged our own ideas but also suggested thoughtful details we wouldn’t have considered on our own, making our day even more special. It felt like a true collaboration and both my wife and I felt understood by them in this partnership. What really stood out is how effortlessly beautiful and well-equipped the venue is. We only added some simple table flowers, and that was it! It’s truly a “ready-to-go” venue that makes wedding planning so much easier while still looking stunning. We’re already looking forward to attending more events at Black Walnut Farm so we can keep the connection to this incredible place.     The second you arrive on your long weekend, the magic starts. Arriving on Thursday afternoon we had time to unwind, unpack, and get to see the grounds and picture our event. We welcomed some of our guests Friday and Saturday was our wedding. The one constant was the support of BW’s staff. They helped us mold our vision into reality. The owners of this place have curated a world where people can be their true selves and celebrate their lives with their loved ones. Take a tour, and find out what magic you can create here.     Magical. Beautiful. Perfect. These are just a few words to describe the experience we had at Black Walnut Farm with its entire team. We had a wedding, we had a home, we had friends, and made new ones:) Every aspect from planning, to questions we had, to the day itself, was always attended to with open arms and open hearts. Sarah and Jim are amazing, and have created a space that far exceeded our imagination. Black Walnut Farm is way more than we thought it could be, and are happy and lucky to be able to call it the place where we started our new adventure:)
